Well, Hello There!

What makes a dream? What makes a photographer? Frankly, I’m not sure on either front! But I’m sure going to give both my best shot.

I started my business when I was left feeling disappointed in my family photos from others and even more disappointed in the fact that I was always behind the camera. I get frustrated a bit always being the one behind the camera when it comes to my own family. Others must feel the same, right? . So here I am!

No “Shooting”??? Did we break the law?

I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Art from Black Hills State University, and while I never specifically studied photography for a degree, I did enjoy the basics of the class for fundamentals. The “eye” for it came more from studying paintings with their color theory and composition. Or so I tell myself. But I’m pretty sure that success thus far has been due to fantastic models and sheer luck!

Whatever the case may be, I am so happy to be here and able to do this labor of love. I have met so many wonderful people and families and have been able to give them photos they can cherish forever. That feels the best to me and that is what really makes all the work worth it.

As far as things go, I just want to continue to grow my business and pursue this amazing hobby! I’m really glad that you’re here following along with me as I go. I’ll keep trying to wow you ;)
